KOCHI: The Angamaly Archdiocese Protection Committee said they cannot say that they will support Dr Jo Joseph, the LDF candidate for Thrikkakara bypoll. Father Joseph Parekattil told a media that would support those who have helped the Archdiocese. Father Joseph Parekattil said he could not say that with the support of the church that someone had suggested Jo Joseph's name, adding that he did not know if there was a discussion in the church for Jo Joseph.

The church supports only those who have helped them. In the Gadgil Committee Report, a section of the church rejected the Left Front's attempt to take advantage of the Catholic Church's rift with P T Thomas. Meantime, the candidate Dr Jo Joseph said that he came with the bishops at the press conference because it was during working hours and the Left is sure to win in Thrikkakara.
