THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Low pressure has been formed in the north-western part of the Bay of Bengal. The central meteorological department has forecast that it will intensify in the next 48 hours. Widespread showers are expected in Kerala in the coming days.
This is the third low pressure this year. If it intensifies and turns a hurricane, then will name it Asani. The name was suggested by Sri Lanka. It will be ready by May 13. Widespread thundershowers are expected in southern Tamil Nadu along with Kerala in the next five days. If there is a slight change in the cyclone, it will reach West Bengal or the coast of Bangladesh. However, there is no restriction for fishing in the state.
