KOTTAYAM: UDF candidate Uma Thomas met general secretary G Sukumaran Nair at the NSS headquarters in Perunna. She said the NSS headquarters was a place close to P T Thomas and that Sukumaran Nair is like a father figure.

'The personal relationship between P T and Nair is too large. That is why I came to see him in person and seek his blessings. I wanted to come and meet him on the next day of choosing me as the candidate but due to time constraints I could not come. Got blessings from him. The meeting is very personal,' said Uma Thomas.
