PALAKKAD: Three more people have been arrested in the murder case of Popular Front leader Subair. Kottekkad S Suchithran, 32, RSS district Sahakaryavahak, Pallatheri G Girish, 41, district 'Karyadarshi', and Kannan, 24, constituency 'Karyavahak', were arrested.
The charges against them are conspiracy, aiding and abetting. With the arrest of three more people today, the number of people arrested in the case has risen to nine
According to the accused, Subair was killed in retaliation for the murder of RSS activist Sanjith. According to police, there was a plan to kill Subair within 11 days of Sanjith's death. ADGP Vijay Sackhare had said that Sanjith's friend Ramesh had coordinated the killer gang and that two assassination attempts had failed.
Subair had more than 50 cuts on his body. The postmortem preliminary report stated that the cause of death was bleeding from deep wounds to the neck, arms and legs.
Meanwhile, Popular Front leader Bava Master, the mastermind behind the Sanjith murder case, was arrested by the police today. He is a teacher at Alathur Govt LP School and Alathur divisional president of Popular Front. The conspiracy to kill Sanjit was led by Bava.
