THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Samastha has justified its leader who rebuked the organizers of a function for inviting a class 10 girl to the stage to receive a prize. Samastha president Jifri Muthukkoya Thangal said that the girl had not been insulted and that judgments and beliefs could not be changed.
"Neither the girl nor her family members have any complaints regarding the incident. The very expression that the girl was 'insulted' is wrong. There are certain criteria for girls to come on stage. Judgments and beliefs cannot be changed. Abdulla Musliyar did not stop the girl before coming on stage. The girl felt shy when she saw the teachers on the stage. Samastha's leader reprimanded the organizers out of fear that other girls might also feel shy when they enter the stage. The Child Rights Commission case is natural. Outsiders are not the ones who should say that Samastha must change," Jifri Muthukkoya Thangal said.
