KOLLAM: Relatives of Vismaya, a Ayurveda medical student who committed suicide due to dowry abuse, has complained to the police that a fake Facebook account with her name has been sending friend requests. The new Facebook account was created with the name Vismaya Vijith and photos of Vismaya's brother Vijith and sister-in-law Dr. Revathy.
About 800 people have been added as friends to the account, which does not have Vismaya's brother or sister-in-law on the friends list. The complaint was lodged after some relatives received friend requests. During the trial of Vismaya's case, the defence had argued in court about the Instagram account which was not maintained by Vismaya's father. The relatives' complaint was also based on this. The Rural SP said the cyber cell will conduct investigation.
