THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Jaseentha who didn't give up inspite of suffering stroke twice has now become a millionaire by selling lottery tickets. Jaseentha a native of Valiyathura, Thiruvananthapuram, sold the Vishu bumper Rs 10 crore winner ticket at the airport between May 15 and May 18. The agency commission is Rs 90 lakh after tax. Jaseentha and her husband Rangan bought tickets from the Chaitanya Lucky Centre in Pazhavangadi. After reducing their commission, they will get around Rs 85 lakh. The winning ticket number is HB 727990. The winner is yet to come forward to claim the prize.
Jaseentha and Rangan gets up at 12.30 am, drinks coffee and reaches Trivandrum International Airport and then sells tickets at the airport till 6.30 am. Rangan who has a childhood disability in right hand was a driver. Jaseentha used to work as a garbage collector under the corporation. But seven years ago she had a stroke. Yet she recovered and started selling lottery. Later she again suffered a stroke due to diabetes and came back to life after days of treatment. About Rs 10 lakh has been borrowed for treatment and other expenses. She would also like to buy an auto for her son Manu, who is a driver and also want to help her daughter's husband who is ill. Jaseentha also wishes to set aside some money as savings for her grandchildren as well.
