THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Isolated heavy rains are likely to lash the state on Saturday. Hilly areas will receive more rainfall, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD). However, no special rain alert has been issued in any district.

The IMD has forecasted rains in Kollam, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Ernakulam and Kozhikode districts of Kerala in the next three hours. The monsoon will arrive in Kerala within two days. Despite the arrival of monsoon, heavy and widespread rains are less likely in the first few days.
