NEW DELHI: Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unknown assailants. The attack took place in Jawaharke in Mansa district while he was traveling in a car with friends. His two friends were also injured in the incident. 30 rounds were fired at the singer, reported the news agencies by quoting the eye witnesses. Moose Wala was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries but his life could not be saved.

Sidhu Moose Wala's Z category security was withdrawn yesterday by the AAP government. The security of 420 people, including MLAs, religious leaders and police officials, was withdrawn. The tragedy that followed with the withdrawal of security could be a setback for the AAP government.
