THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Today marks the beginning of the new academic year as schools regain their old glory after a gap of two years. Classes from class 1 to class XII will start today. Plus One class will not begin today as SSLC results have not been announced yet. Four lakh newcomers will enter Class 1.
All the students will be greeted with gift packs, sweets, bags, umbrellas, songs and dances during the Praveshanolsavam. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the state-level Praveshanolsavam at 9 am at Govt HSS, Kazhakoottam in Thiruvananthapuram.
