THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the state level Pravesanotsavam at the GHSS in Kazhakoottam. The function was attended by Education Minister V Sivankutty, Kadakampally Surendran and many others.
The chief minister said the world is noticing the public schools in Kerala. 'Our schools did not suffer during the time of the pandemic. Academic standards need to be improved further. All schools will be upgraded to world class standards. School is the largest secular centre in the country. Neither caste nor religion separates children,’ he said.
Schools returned to normalcy after a gap of two long years. So, as part of Pravesanotsavam grand programmes are being held in all schools. Education Minister V Sivankutty directed all children to wear masks and use sanitizers as the fear of Covid has not changed completely. He also directed not to share lunch.
