Some say that this tweet implies that he will step down as BCCI president and will enter politics.

Fans are debating whether Ganguly is ready to resign from the BCCI presidency to enter politics. But BCCI secretary Jay Shah informed that Ganguly has not resigned. Ganguly, who captained India to the final of the 2003 World Cup, is one of the best left-handed openers India has ever seen. He has scored 7212 runs in 113 Tests and 11363 runs in 311 ODIs. Ganguly led India in 49 Tests and won 21 matches. He holds the record for winning 76 matches out of 146 ODIs. He has been the President of the Bengal Cricket Association since 2015 and the President of the BCCI from 2019.
