THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former MLA PC George, who was arrested in a hate speech case and later released on bail, will be issued another notice by the police. The police will ask him to appear on Monday.

Although the Fort police had asked him to appear last Sunday, George went to Thrikkakara without appearing before the police. However, the police decided not to approach the high court citing the violation of bail conditions. PC George had informed the police that he had to consult a doctor for a medical check-up and that he was willing to appear for questioning anytime after Sunday as directed by the police. The Fort Assistant Commissioner said in the notice that not appearing before the police would be considered a violation of the court's bail conditions.

Police had arrested PC George for making hate speeches in Vennala and Thiruvananthapuram. The police registered a case against him for making a provocative speech against a religious sect.
