THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Kerala will receive heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning for the next five days due to the effect of monsoon winds blowing from the Arabian Sea to the coast of Kerala. The IMD has also forecasted isolated heavy showers today and tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the yellow alert declared the other day in 11 districts has been withdrawn. Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kannur, Kasaragod and Palakkad districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall.
