KOCHI: Actor and producer Vijay Babu will be questioned today also in the case of sexually abusing a young actress. The investigating officials have directed him to appear at the Ernakulam South police station at 9 am. The actor was questioned for 20 hours in the last two days.

The actor had denied the allegations levelled by the actress. He told police that he had consensual sex with her and the animosity for not giving roles in films is behind the case. The interrogation is likely to go on as the high court had asked not to arrest him till Tuesday.

He was granted interim bail on the condition that he should cooperate with the investigation and should neither talk nor communicate with the complainant. He was also directed not to respond to anything including on social media.

The actor reached Kochi on Wednesday from Dubai after ending his 39-day absconding life. After offering prayers at the temple, he reached the police station. The actress had lodged a complaint on April 22 alleging that Vijay Babu had raped her multiple times after offering roles in films.
