KOCHI: As UDF candidate Uma Thomas nears a historic victory in Thrikkakkara bypoll, K V Thomas has expressed his response.

“Special congrats for Uma. It is up to the CPM and the LDF to study and think about what to do next. K-Rail may not have been discussed properly. The criticisms against me had begun since I went to Kannur. They speak in polite language and sometimes in vulgar language. This is natural. I am always with development. Kerala needs to move forward a lot. The traffic issues and waterlogging in Ernakulam have not been solved. All these need to be resolved”, said K V Thomas.

Meantime, Uma Thomas’ vote share is soaring with a lead crossing 15,000 votes. She has a clear lead in all the UDF strongholds beyond the front’s expectations. Even in booths with less polling, Uma is leading. She has been maintaining a steady lead since the first phase of vote counting.
