PATHANAMTHITTA: In another incident of violence against women, a 60-year-old man has been arrested in Konni for sexually abusing his wife's grandmother. The victim is an 85-year-old woman. The elderly woman had told her daughter about this earlier but the accused continued to abuse her. Following this, the elderly woman had physical discomfort and informed the nearby Anganwadi helper during the treatment.

The ICDS supervisor reported the incident to the police based on the information provided by the helper. Police said the accused had another wife and family besides the elderly woman's granddaughter.
