Actor Hareesh Peradi came with a Facebook post in connection with the act of resigning from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) for not expelling actor and producer Vijay Babu in the case of sexually abusing an actress. He mentioned in the post that Edavela Babu, the secretary of the organisation, had informed him that his resignation from the executive committee came for discussion and asked him whether there was any change in his decision.

Hareesh said Edavela Babu had clarified the organisation’s stand on Vijay Babu issue and demanded an explanation from him when he returns on the name given to the organisation. Peradi clarified his stand saying the organization that protects people who take such anti-feminist stance cannot be addressed as AMMA.
