KOZHIKODE: Two shops were completely gutted in a fire that broke out in Balussery Monday early morning. The fire broke out at a furniture and tyre shops in Kattamvalli at 4.30 am today. The incident was first spotted by the locals who noticed the fire spreading. The fire force which came from different parts of the district doused the flames a few minutes before.

The reason for the fire is being investigated by the police. No casualty has been reported. Initial reports said goods worth lakhs have been gutted in the blaze.
