KOLLAM: A one-and-a half-year-old baby boy died after consuming kerosene while playing. He has been identified as Aarush, son of Unnikrishna Pillai of Chavara in Kollam and Reshma. The incident happened at their relative’s house on Sunday at 4.30 pm. He drank the kerosene when his parents were talking with their relatives.

The police said the baby who was playing in the room may have consumed the kerosene from the bottle. Though he was taken to the hospital, his life could not be saved. The body is kept in the mortuary of the hospital. Aishwarya is his sister.
