KANNUR: The police have taken into custody a youth for attacking his father in an inebriated condition. Martin Philip was seen brutally beating his father Pappachan of Peravur in Kannur. The visuals of Martin kicking his father and smashing the household appliances have surfaced.

The incident happened Monday early morning at 2 am. The neighbours said Martin comes home drunk daily and enters into a fight. As usual he came home drunk yesterday. He attacked his father brutally and then started kicking him on the ground. The family members shot the visuals of it. Though the police reached the house after knowing about it, Pappachan was not willing to go to the hospital The family stays in a rented house.
