THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that seven districts in the state are likely to receive isolated rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in the next few hours. Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts are likely to receive isolated rainfall in the next few hours. A wind speed of 40 km/h is expected in these districts.

Heavy rains will continue in Kerala for the next five days. The IMD has issued yellow alerts in various districts in the coming days. Fishermen have been warned not to venture into the sea today and from Wednesday to Friday.
