BENGALURU: The daughter of a BJP MLA misbehaved with a policeman who questioned her for breaking traffic rules. The girl has been identified as Renuka Nimbavali, daughter of BJP MLA Aravind Nimbavali. The police officer questioned the girl, who was driving a BMW, for overspeeding and jumping signals violating traffic rules. However, she argued with the police and allegedly misbehaved with them. The incident took place on Thursday.

The BMW car, driven by Aravind Nimbavali’s daughter, was overspeeding. Moreover, she was not wearing seatbelts, said some eyewitnesses. The girl argued with the police who had stopped her mid-way. “I want to go now. Don't hold the car. You can't register a case against me for overtaking. This is MLA’s vehicle. We haven't driven rash. My father is Aravind Limbavali”, she said.

As the argument between the girl and the policeman intensified, people crowded on the road in front of Raj Bhavan. A fine of Rs 10,000 was imposed on the girl for traffic rule violation. However, she demanded to send her home and claimed that she did not have money to pay the fine. Later, a friend who was accompanying her paid the fine and they were allowed to go. It is alleged that the girl had also misbehaved with a reporter who came to cover the incident.
