THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister V Muraleedharan on Saturday urged Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to resign from his post and face the probe. He also asked why the CM, who was claiming to have walked amongst drawn swords was so scared.

"The panic shown by the Chief Minister of Kerala after the statement made by Swapna Suresh is raising suspicion. The entire behaviour of the Chief Minister hints that his hands are not clean. If there is even a little bit of political morality, the Chief Minister who is accused in the smuggling case should not continue in that position. If the Chief Minister had nothing to hide, there was no need to obstruct the Central Agency's investigation. There is no need for this panic," Muraleedharan said.

"Isn't he the one who brags that he walked among the drawn swords? Why is such a frightened man coming to deliver a speech by deploying so many policemen? Pinarayi Vijayan is the man who teaches political ethics to Prime Minister Narendra Modi several times. However, he must realise that Narendra Modi was not accused of smuggling. Narendra Modi has not betrayed the country," he added.
