NEW DELHI: Naveen Kumar Jindal, BJP leader expelled over derogatory remarks against the Prophet, has requested not to share any information about him or his family on social media.

“I humbly request all not to share any information about me and my family with anyone. Despite my requests, many people are posting my residential address on social media. My family faces a threat from Islamic fundamentalists”, Naveen Kumar said on Twitter.

Sharing screenshots of some threat messages, the leader also requested the police to take necessary action on the matter. Earlier, the statement issued by the BJP expelling Jindal had stated that the leader’s remarks were disrupting communal harmony. It also stated that Jindal had violated the party’s discipline.

Naveen Kumar Jindal, a former journalist, has faced backlashes for similar posts in the past as well. A case has been registered against him in Punjab, for sharing a defamatory video of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
