KANNUR: There is no ban for black clothes and no one will be stopped on roads, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. There was no intend to arrange security by blocking anyone’s way, he said while addressing the library workers’ state conference in Kannur.
Chief Minister’s words:
“Now it seems that a group is carrying out vicious propaganda campaigns saying that we are blocking ways. No one will be denied the freedom to walk in this state. No such situation will ever arise. Certain powers may want certain things. But, enlightened Kerala will not approve it. Many of those who have participated in this event have worn diverse clothes. For the past few days, another campaign has been raging in Kerala stating that a particular colour should not be worn. It is propagated that black masks and clothes should not be worn. Every person in Kerala has the right to wear the dress of their choice. Some powers are propagating these with vested interests. As part of this, they are saying that the Kerala government has taken a stance against wearing black masks and clothes.
Left government is in power in Kerala. The Left Front was at the forefront in achieving all the specialties seen in Kerala today. As long as this government stands, there will be no such stance that one cannot wear a particular dress. This is a time, when they rely on fake stories as there is nothing else to defame the government. People should realize that these are all fake propaganda. The government will always be there to preserve the uniqueness of our state, in every possible way. We are committed to it. We will be at the fore to take strong action against the powers who are creating such fake stories”, said the chief minister.
