KOTTAYAM: Some unruly scenes were witnessed in the clash that broke out between the congress activists in Vazhoor and Nedumkunnam. In Vazhoor, the scuffle was between DCC general secretaries Sheens Peter and T K Suresh Kumar. The fight broke out on Sunday. The two engaged in a scuffle soon after the programme organised by the congress.

In Nedumkunnam, the clash was between INTUC leader Jiji Pothen and Congress block president Joe Thomas Payikadan. Pothen complained that he was not invited for party programmes. A dispute following this ended in a clash. They were dispersed by the auto drivers of the nearby stand. The two later sought treatment in a hospital.

Meantime, the congress leadership explained that personal issues ended in the scuffle. DCC president Nattakom Suresh said that no complaint has been obtained in the issue in Vazhoor and there are no organisational issues. He said that the issue has been looked into when came to know about it. However, a complant has been obtained in the issue in Nedumkunnam and action would be taken, he said.
