PALAKKAD: Police have taken into custody former CPM leader Shahjahan who allegedly planted a hidden camera in the bathroom of his neighbour in Kodumba. Shahjahan, a former CPM branch secretary, was arrested from Tamil Nadu. It was learned that Shahjahan had left the state after a special investigation team was deployed to nab him.

The police have registered a case against him under the non-bailable section. Shahjahan ran away when the woman shouted after seeing a man's shadow near her bathroom window. His mobile phone fell on the nearby field while running. However, the housewife had not realized that Shahjahan was the one who planted the camera. The housewife then called Shahjahan for help.

The woman later became suspicious about Shahjahan when his mobile rang in the nearby field. She also found some visuals on Shahjahan's mobile. Following this, the housewife lodged a complaint with the police along with the mobile. The CPM Puthussery Area Committee promised all support to the housewife.
