THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government on Tuesday told the court that the Youth Congress activists had tried to assassinate the CM inside the flight and that the CM would have been injured if the security officer had not stopped the protesters.
The accused stormed toward the CM and tried to attack him by shouting, "We will not spare you?" They also attacked the CM's personal security officer Anilkumar. The government also claimed that the violence had threatened the safety of the plane and its passengers.
Thiruvananthapuram Judicial First Class Magistrate (11) Lini Thomas remanded the accused Farzeen Majeed (27) and Naveen Kumar (37) till June 27. The court will consider their bail application today. Security officer Anilkumar is the plaintiff. The third accused Suneeth Narayanan is absconding.
The prosecution told the court that other passengers should be identified and questioned, and that accused should be prosecuted for violating international aviation laws.
