PATHANAMTHITTA: A complaint has been lodged against CPM leaders alleging that they snatched benefits allocated to a scheduled caste family by the government. The complaint has been lodged by Sarasamma, a native of Naranganam, Pathanamthitta. The allegations were raised against the members of the CPM area and local committees.

The complaint lodged with the ombudsman stated that the fund was allocated by the government for reconstruction of Sarasamma’s house. The news was released by a private channel. The leaders had taken the money saying that they would complete the maintenance works of the house, said the housewife.

“Some people told me that they have been collecting money in the name of my house. They fooled me. I called them several times. But they never pick up my calls”, she said. The four-member family is residing in a dilapidated house.
