MALAPPURAM: A 19-year-old boy has been arrested for sexually abusing a minor girl. He has been identified as Rayan of Trippanachi in Malappuram. The complaint is that he has been abusing her for the past two years after threatening her. However, the girl did not reveal the incident to anybody out of fear.

The incident came to light when her parents questioned her following suspicion on her behaviour. He abused the girl last on May 20. The accused forcibly took the girl from Areekode in a car and tortured her in Othayi. The girl was seen mentally disturbed recently. This raised the suspicion of her parents.

Areekode police registered a case following a complaint by the girl's relatives. A case has been registered including POCSO charges. After receiving the complaint, the police reached the house of the accused and arrested him at night.
