THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man has been released from jail after 30 years of imprisonment. He was a convict in a murder case and have escaped from prison four times to see his daughter.

The life story of Kuttanad native Shivaji, who was convicted in Jinedevan murder case is being made into a movie.The role of Shivaji will be played by a prominent Malayalee actor. The murder occured when Shivaji questioned beating of his friend. He was released from jail yesterday, following an order to release 60-year-old convicts.

After the crime, Shivaji moved to Mundoor and married Sathyabhama, had a daughter named Ajitha from this relation. Later she committed suicide. His daughter lived with grand mother and Shivaji was not given a parole during this period. So he escaped from jail four times. He was first granted temporary parole during Covid period. He has then returned to jail after spending time with his grandchildren. Shivaji feels guilty for what he has done and wishes to live with his family for the rest of his life.
