THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former minister K T Jaleel mocked the allegations levelled by Swapna Suresh, accused in the gold smuggling case. Swapna had said that Madhava Warrier, owner of Fly Jack Logistics Company functioning in Mumbai, is benami of K T Jaleel. He mocked her via a Facebook post.

It is good that Thirunavayakkaran became Madhava Warrier. If had said the name of some Kunjipokkar then would have been implicated, his post said.

Swapna had alleged that Jaleel pressured to give D.Litt to the ruler of Sharjah. Jaleel influenced vice chancellor Dr K Muhammed Basheer and has a close connection with the consul general and the two had held talks in a closed room, she said in the affidavit.

Madhavan Warrier is Jaleel's beneami. The company is headquartered in Mumbai. Qur'an was brought with the help of the benami. The consul general had revealed that the Qur'an was delivered via consulate outside the state.

She had informed the high court that the chief minister, his wife Kamala, daughter Veena, K T Jaleel, P Sreeramakrishnan and M Sivasankar got involved in anti-social activities focusing the consulate and that Jaleel is trying to prevent her confidential statement on it from getting leaked.
