NEW DELHI:Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has lashed out at Central government amid protests strenghthening at Bihar and Madhya Pradesh against Agnipath scheme. Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter not to test the patience of the youth.'No rank, no pension, no direct recruitment for 2 years, no stable future after four years, no respect shown by the government for the army', tweeted Rahul.

But the central government is trying to overcome the protests by justifying the Agnipath project. According to the Centre, the decision was taken after two years of discussions. The Centre also said that more job opportunities would be there for the youth who receive job training for a certain period of time in the Army.

Meanwhile, strong protests against the Agnipath sceheme are taking place in various states, including Rajasthan. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has requested the protesters to keep the peace. Rahul wrote on Twitter yesterday that introducing a project like Agnipath would reduce the operational effectiveness of our armed forces when India faces threats on two fronts.Rahul also demanded that the government must stop compromising the dignity, traditions, valour and discipline of our forces.
