HYDERABAD: Police have arrested the alleged mastermind behind the violence that took place against the Agnipath scheme in Secunderabad. The arrested person has been identified as Andhra Pradesh native Subba Rao. He is the director of a private defence academy. Police have also arrested Telangana Congress president Revanth Reddy, who was on his way to attend the funeral of Dameera Rakesh, who was shot dead by police.

Police have arrested 30 people who were involved in various incidents of violence. Of these, 12 people led the attack. Police believe that youngsters were organised for the protest through various WhatsApp groups. The youngsters were called by various groups to reach the railway stations to protest. This protest later turned into a major riot.
