THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Poet Sachidanandan has come forward in response to opposition leader V D Satheesan’s criticism that cultural leaders are not reacting to social issues. Writers need not react to everything, he said.

“There might be political bias behind writers’ not responding to social issues. That should be left with each writer. These are all permissible in democracy. I don’t have politics. I don’t take anyone’s generosity. I will react to what I feel right”, Sachidanandan said.
