BENGALURU: India and South Africa settle for 2-2 series draw as the fifth T20I was abadoned due to rain. South Africa won the first two matches while India won the third and fourth matches.
The match was reduced to 19 overs due to rain at Chinnaswamy Stadium yesterday and it started raining again in the fourth over. The umpires had to suspend the game. After losing the toss and opting to bat, India's score was 28/2 in 3.3 overs. The match could not be continued due to rain.

South Africa was led by Indian-origin spinner Keshav Maharaj, as their captain Temba Bavuma was injured. Tabraiz Shamsi was be replaced by Tristan Stubbs and Rabada was replaced by Jansen. In the fifth match of the series, Rishabh lost the toss and South Africa chose to field. The rain started after the toss. The match started at 7.45 pm after cutting an over.
South African quick Lungi Ngidi bowlwd the left-handed Ishan Kishan for 15 and then got Rituraj Gaikwad caught at mid-on for 10 runs. Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant was on the crease when the match stopped for the final time due to rain.
