kodiyeri-balakrishnan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Tuesday said that no one will be able to come near the Chief Minister if the party takes over the security of the Chief Minister. Kodiyeri also said that the government was not working by relying on the security provided by policemen and that the strength of the government was the support of the people. He added that the Left will rule Kerala as long as it enjoys a majority in the Assembly and will not kneel before the opposition.

Kodiyeri alleged that Swapna Suresh, the accused in the gold smuggling case, had become a puppet in the hands of the RSS and that there was a mystery surrounding the fact that Swapna was given a job in an RSS NGO. "The woman is changing her statement. Now she is speaking against the government. Swapna is now a puppet of the central agencies," Kodiyeri said.

"The aim of the Opposition and the BJP is to discredit the Chief Minister in public. Some media in Kerala, which had attempted to prevent the LDF from coming to power again, is now trying to bring down the government," he said.

"Protesters are jumping on the CM's vehicle. Isn’t this provocative? It is the wish of the Congress to confront the Chief Minister with stones. However, people will throw those stones back. An attempt was made to attack the CM inside a plane. Congress workers had once hijacked a plane. It is the culture of the Congress," he added.
