KANNUR: The CPM state committee which will meet on June 26 will discuss the controversy over the irregularities in the Payyannur Dhanraj martyrdom fund. CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, who had discussed the issue in the district committee three times, will report to the state committee on the fund controversy and the subsequent steps.

There is a high demand in the Payyanur branches that the figures of the fund should be presented if the party had not lost money. Therefore, the figures will be prepared and presented to the branches.

The decision to discuss the matter in the state committee was taken after party members demanded that the figures of the martyrs' fund should be presented. On Monday, several members came forward during the Karivellur North Local General Body meeting with the demand that the figures should be presented. This incident has become a headache for the leadership.
