KOCHI: A four-year-old boy was brutally thrashed by his tuition teacher in Palluruthy. Nikhil, a sir of Thakshashila tuition centre beat the LKG student badly. The boy was subjected to the beating on Monday and Tuesday.

The child was taken to the hospital on Tuesday as he showed some uneasiness and had fever also. The beat marks were seen when the doctor examined him.

The child said that his teacher beat him for not saying the English Alphabets. The sir was taken into custody and arrested on the complaint of his parents. Nikhil has been remanded.
