THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan has lashed out at the government and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan over the SFI attack on Rahul Gandhi's office in Wayanad. Sathasheen said that Rahul Gandhi's office was vandalized by SFI goons with the knowledge of the Chief Minister.
"Pinarayi is trying to please the BJP national leadership to get rid of the gold smuggling case. The violence took place with the consent of the police. The government is trying to create riots in Kerala again to get rid of the shameful allegations leveled against the Chief Minister," Satheesan said.
"On October 23, 2019, the state cabinet had recommended that the one-kilometer stretch around wildlife sanctuaries and national parks should be made a buffer zone. The SFI activists who attacked Rahul Gandhi's office in the name of the buffer zone should lead agitation towards Pinarayi Vijayan's office. Chief Minister and the state cabinet are the culprits in the buffer zone issue. The CPM carried out this attack to convince the Sangh Parivar that it is strongly opposed to Rahul Gandhi," he added.
