PEERUMEDU: A letter written by a sister to her brother is 434 metres long and weighs 5 kg! This huge letter written by Peerumedu native Krishnapriya to her brother Krishnaprasad has found a place in the world record list.
Krishnapriya has a habit of writing letter to her brother on every International brother's day(May 24).But she couldn't write a letter to her brother this year due to her busy work schedule. She is an engineer in Peruvanthanam Grama Panchayat and stays in Mundakayam after her marriage. Krishnapriya decided to write a letter to her brother as he didn't attend her phone call.
When she realised that the letter is long, she bought 15 rolls used for paper bills. It took her 12 hours to complete the letter. She posted the letter and her brother was shocked after opening the pack thinking it was a gift. She wrote passionately in the letter about their relation.
When Krishnaprasad measured the letter out of curiosity, it was 434 metres. He sent a letter to Calcutta based Universal Record Forum and they confirmed that the record. Krishnaprasad is a student in Mar Baselious Engineering college.
