NEW DELHI: A SpiceJet flight flying from Delhi to Dubai had to make an emergency landing in Karachi due to a technical fault. All the passengers were safely deboarded and no emergency was declared.
“SpiceJet B737 aircraft was diverted to Karachi due to an indicator light malfunctioning. The aircraft landed safely in Karachi and passengers were safely disembarked”, said the airline’s spokesperson.
The crew observed unusual fuel quantity reduction. Following which, the pilot had to make a landing in Karachi though it was a precautionary landing, said the Director of Civil Aviation. Earlier, the aviation regulator had conducted the safety audit of SpiceJet, last month.
