KANNUR: Two siblings, who were travelling on a bike, were killed after a lorry carrying a chicken lost control and overturned on the National Highway in Pariyaram in Kannur. The deceased have been identified as Sneha (24) and brother Lobhesh (32), children of Pariyaram Pacheni native Lakshmanan and Bhanumathi. Lobhesh was going to drop Sneha at the Payyannur railway station.

The accident took place near the petrol pump at Alakyam Bridge in Pariyaram at around 7:30 yesterday morning. The driver of the lorry said that the lorry lost control and overturned when he tried to avoid hitting the bike that had slipped on the road. The police are checking the CCTV footage of this area.

The deceased Lobhesh was a carpenter. Both are unmarried.
