PALAKKAD: A man who went for a morning walk was chased and trampled to death by a wild elephant. The dead has been identified as Sivaraman (60), a resident of Payattamkunnu. The incident happened at Dhoni in Palakkad at around 5 in the morning. A group of nine including Sivaraman were on a morning stroll.

Though he ran seeing the elephant, it chased and attacked him. The others who were with him immediately took him to Palakkad district hospital, but his life could not be saved.
