THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The portfolios handled by Saji Cheriyan, who resigned as the minister following controversial remarks against the Constitution, have been handed over to three ministers. The portfolios have been distributed among ministers Mohammed Riyas, VN Vasavan and V Abdurahiman. The Governor has accepted the Chief Minister's recommendation in this regard.

Youth Welfare Department has been handed over to Mohammed Riyas, while Culture and Film Departments have been handed over to VN Vasavan. Minister V Abdurahiman will handle the Fisheries Department. Government notification will be released soon. Saji Cheriyan resigned from the cabinet on Wednesday.
