THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Education Department has decided to give 25% grace marks for each subject in the 10th class examination to all children with 40% or more disabilities under the differently-abled category. At present, grace marks are given only to hearing impaired and intellectually challenged people.
Students with 21 types of disabilities such as visual impairment, Parkinson's disease, dwarfism etc. will be eligible for the grace mark. For this, students should submit the attested copy of the medical board certificate proving 40 percent or more disability along with the application.
