NEW YORK: Elon Musk, the chief executive officer of Tesla and the world’s richest person, on Friday terminated his 44 billion dollar deal to buy Twitter alleging that the company had breached multiple provisions of the merger agreement.
Last month, Musk had accused Twitter of failing to provide data on fake or spam accounts and threatened to pull out of the deal.
Meantime, Twitter’s chairman said that they are planning to pursue legal action against Musk to enforce the merger agreement. Musk had offered to buy Twitter, the world’s most popular social media site, last April.
