JAMSHEDPUR: Police have arrested four people, including the daughter of the deceased, in connection with the murder of businessman Kanhaiya Singh in Jharkhand. The incident took place in Adityapur, Jharkhand on June 30. The arrested are Kanhaiya Singh's daughter Aparna Singh (19), her boyfriend Rajvir (21), Nikhil Gupta and Saurabh Kisku. According to police, Kanhaiya had strongly opposed his daughter's affair with Rajvir and this led to the murder. The police said that two accused in the case are absconding.

Kanhaiya Singh was gunned down outside his apartment in Hari Omnagar on June 30. A three-member gang reached the spot on a vehicle and escaped after firing at Kanhaiya Singh.

Police said that Rajvir and other accused had planned the murder five days ago and executed it following the approval of Aparna. It is learned that Aparna had given her diamond ring, gifted by her father, to the shooter as an advance for killing.

The investigation team solved the case scientifically and even collected evidence such as the firearm, empty cartridges, shoe and blood-stained shirt of one of the accomplices and the diamond ring. They also found that Aparna had provided the location of her father to the accused on WhatsApp.
