THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An action plan by Transport department states that KSRTC be turned profitable in six months if the government pays Rs 250 crore as one time assistance and Rs 20 crore as six monthly installments. The Chief Minister is considering the report containing demands that the government should take over the corporation's past debts. A meeting will be held among Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Finance Minister K N Balagopal and Transport Minister Antony Raju to take action on the report.
Rs 30 crore per month liability has to be borne by the government for the repayment of the bank consortium. Rs 250 crore should be provided as one-time assistance and monthly assistance of Rs 20 crore each for the next six months is being demanded by KSRTC. The master plan demands to implement Sushil Khanna report completely.
